The third weekend of every August, the Fat Tire Fiesta is a gathering and celebration of the many and varied mountain bike trails that have been developed in the White Mountains. Guided and interpreted tours are included in this three-day event, with rides designed from beginner to advanced levels and guided by local riders who know and love these trails. Cool breezes and fields of wildflowers await you in the scentic White Mountains of Eastern Arizona. Come ride through aspens, pines and fir, along streams and through alpine meadow. We this it is the best grass roots mountain biking festival in the state. Entry fee of $40 includes a shirt and the breakfast and pasta dinner. Music and awards for such competition as the "Flat-Top Hill Climb" and "Huffy Bike Toss" round out this event in the cool summer pines

To publish regularly a comprehensive newsletter of bicycling information, legislation affecting cyclists and other news relating to bicycling. To schedule tours and other group-riding opportunities for further development of individual cycling skills and to institute safe riding habits. To provide education at all levels of bicycling skills, such as road safety, bicycle maintenance and emergency repairs; and to encourage bicycle use as an energy-efficient, healthful means of personal transportation.
